Contemporary Art

William Kentridge is one of the greatest contemporary artists of our time. South African, known for his drawings and engravings, he is best known for his animated films created from charcoal drawings. A versatile artist whose work combines politics and poetics, his works deal with topics such as apartheid, colonialism and totalitarianism, accompanied by dreamlike parts, lyrical nuances or comic pieces. This union allows his messages to be both powerful and fascinating. He received international fame in 1997, after participating in the Johannesburg Biennial, the Havana Biennial and Documenta X.

She is founder — artistic director of TEVERETERNO, an ongoing multidisciplinary arts festival on the Tiber River in Rome. Over the millennia Rome has inspired the greatest art and architecture and still now the combination of the historic and the living city is dramatic. Romans have always had the capacity to dialogue with the past. The city and its history are an inspiration to the world. CAN THE CURRENT CONTINUE TO FLOW? the answer is in the incredible public spaces that Rome have to tell you his contemporary and future stories.
