Samanth Subramanian is a Dublin-based journalist. He is a correspondent for The National (UAE), and his writing has appeared in the New Yorker, the New York Times, the Guardian, and Wired, among other publications. His most recent book, “This Divided Island: Stories from the Sri Lankan War,” won the Crossword Non Fiction Prize and was shortlisted for the Samuel Johnson Prize and the Ondaatje Prize. He writes essays and reportage that often revolve around the frictions between technology and society.
